Identity fraud fear after bin bag theft

First published in News

Witnesses are being sought after a person stole two bags of rubbish from a wheelie bin.

There are fears the thief may have taken the bags from the bin in Seaview Avenue , Peacehaven, in an attempt to commit identity fraud.

The incident took place on overnight between July 24 and 25.

PC Anna Batchelor said: "This is an isolated incident and although the motive for the theft is not clear, there is no evidence to suggest that they were stolen for identity theft purposes.

"We would still like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area that night. If you can help please contact us via 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 0451 of 20/7.”

brighton and hove council are a complete waste of space, having turned our city into the biggest car park in great britain and raking in millions of pounds they can not keep the streets clean. they say that the recent floods could not of been improved by keeping the rood gulleys cleaned out of debris what a load of rot clean drains take water away blocked drains dont. I suggest the council starts doing a better job of running of our city or lose their seats at the next elections.
