A new website which chronicles the role played by East Sussex during the First World War has been launched.
The East Sussex County Council project has been unveiled to coincide with the centenary of the start of the Great War.
It includes moving stories, evocative photographs and wartime ephemera showing how the war touched the lives of people in the county.
Members of the public, schools and history groups are encouraged to submit their own stories and memories and post details of events being held.
The website also includes details of events being held across the four years to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the war.
More information can be found on the website at www.east sussexww1.org.uk.
