A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been found unconscious on the seafront with a serious head injury.

The man was found by a member of the public outside Harvester in Marine Parade, Brighton, at around 1.20am this morning

He is in a stable condition in hospital. Police are appealing to for information.

Detective sergeant Simon Dunn, from Sussex Police, said: "A member of the public returned to their vehicle and found the man with a head and facial injury we nearby.

"At this time we are still trying to work out how the man came by his injuries and need to talk to anyone who might have seen what happened earlier on in the evening."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or email 101 quoting serial 151 of 7/8.

So are drunkenness and drug abuse- and intoxicated people have been known to fall over and hurt themselves. They have also been know to be hit by cars when they stagger into the road.

Nowhere in the article is it suggested that fould play was involved. although, in the interests of fairness, neither does it suggest that alcohol or drugs were.

It appears to be the norm now for people to be assaulted, robbed, raped, or incapacitated by drink and drugs., even mid-week.
