A pupil at a Sussex college is in the top 0.25% of students around the globe in a baccalaureate programme.
Ardingly College star Ann-Kathrin Henning bagged 44 points out of 45 in the International Baccalaureate.
Students at the college had an average provisional point score of 37, seven points above the worldwide figure.
It is the best average ever achieved in the 12 years the college has offered the baccalaureate.
Deputy head Jamie Large said congratulations were due.
