PARENTS are being asked to take up a scheme to keep children safe at the beach.
Rother District Council beach patrols and police are again handing out wristbands to allow lost children at Camber Sands to be quickly reunited with their family.
Parents can write their mobile phone number on the wristband so parents can be called if a child goes missing.
The scheme is part of Operation Radcott, the multi-agency operation led by the district council to improve safety at Camber, which has up to 25,000 visitors.
It runs at Camber Sands through August until the end of September.
