Brighton-based search agency Search Seven will lock horns with a team from Royal Sussex County Hospital’s Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU) in the Ted’s Trophy fundraising match on September 7.
The event is being held to highlight the work and raise cash for the TMBU, which specialises in the care of premature and sick newborn babies.
Search Seven currently promises to contribute up to 7% of its profits to charities and local community projects each year. Bosses at the firm are now calling on Sussex colleagues to dig deep ahead of the match by taking out sponsorship packages, programme advertising space or simple donations.
Search Seven founder Gavin Willis, whose godson Ted was treated at the TMBU following an emergency caesarean birth, said: “Ted will celebrate his second birthday in October. He is a very loveable, smiley, cheeky little chap, filled with joy and happiness.
“However there can be little doubt that this would not be the case had Ted not received the fantastic care and attention that he did from the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in the first two weeks of his life.”
