A man was sprayed in the eyes during a street attack.
He was set upon in Battle Road, St Leonards, on Tuesday, August 5, between 5pm and 5.30pm.
The 33-year-old man was treated at Conquest Hospital after sustaining injuries to his face and arm.
Officers from Sussex Police are unsure of what he was sprayed with, labelling it an “unknown substance”.
Now they are looking for three suspects, all believed to be white men, aged 28 to 29 and 5ft 7in tall.
One was of large build with very short brown hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with short sleeves and dark trousers.
The other two were of thin build with short blonde hair. One was wearing a blue T-shirt while the other was clean shaven, wearing a football shirt.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 1310 of 05/08. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
