An urgent appeal has been launched to find a missing man.
Douglas Gardner, 48, has not been seen been since 7.45am on Thursday but is believed to have left his home in Scaynes Hill around 9.30am.
His car has been located near Beachy Head, but a search of the area, including an aerial sweep by helicopter, has not located him.
Inspector Jon Greetham said: "Along with his family and friends, we are very concerned for Doug and we would like to hear from anyone who has seen him or saw his silver Ford Galaxy arriving at the car park at Beachy Head.
"Eastbourne and the surrounding coastline has been very busy with the Airbourne event over the last few days and we are also asking visitors to the airshow if they have seen him.
"Doug is white, of slight build, with short brown hair and may be wearing a maroon sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 426 of 14/08.
People are asked to call 999 immediately if Mr Gardner is in danger or in need of medical direction.
