The travel website compared the cost of two people staying for one-night in a four-star hotel in the month of August, with the overall figure including a pre-meal cocktail, a meal out and a short taxi ride.
York, Bath, Oxford, London, Cambridge and Edinburgh were more expensive than Brighton – with the Scottish city being the most expensive at £331. Sheffield has taken over as best-value city break destination.
