Protesters rally for Gaza

First published in News

Pro-Palestine protesters will continue their campaign with another planned rally.

The Rally For Gaza will be held on Sunday from midday outside Brighton Town Hall.

The rally will be used to launch a campaign calling on Brighton and Hove City Council to support an international movement of boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel.

Campaigners say the issue will be debated by local councillors in October.

Just how pathetic are these people?

Seriously where on a scale from Luis Suarez to George Galloway?

These demos achieve precisely nothing except show how stupid those attending them are.

Those on the left make a distinction between being anti Zionist and anti Semitic in that they are only anti Zionist not anti Semitic.

However, notions of a Jewish conspiracy to rule the world go back long before the Balfour Declaration. Jews have been demonized for 2,000 years being portrayed as living off and controlling the host community. Hitler theorized about the Zionist conspiracy but he didn't try to pretend he wasn't anti-Semitic

So those on the left can't hide behind the fine distinction of being anti Zionist and anti semitic. If you adhere to the conspiracy theory that Jews control the world you are anti Semitic because Jews have been persecuted for 2000 years because of that conspiracy theory.

Hence the theory that the Jews are responsible for everything: Al Quaida, 9/11, Colonel Gadaffi, Assad, ISIS etc etc

The anti-Semitism of the left has been labeled the "socialism of fools". The enemy of the Proletariat is the capitalist and for some on the left being Jewish and being a capitalist are synonymous. So even Jewish intellectuals on the left will be sucked into this kind of thinking especially if they are struggling on a lecturer's wage. As for the Holocaust survivors, Israel is made up of Holocaust survivors. If a few in the west have been influenced by the recent frenzy well there are black members of UKIP too

An interesting read for lefty intellectuals with sufficient reading power: http://www.engageonl

I hope the pro Palestinian protestors campaign to free Gaza from Hamas.

After all they are responsible for the conflict, having launched a 4,000 rocket barrage on Israeli civilians.

Hamas is a Totalitarian organisation this racist & homophobic. They are trying to destroy Israel, by stealing their land & imposing a Hamas apartheid style rule.

Hamas fired their rockets from hospitals, schools & kids bedrooms. 500 rockets fell short in Gaza killing countless kids .

I also hope this protest fids time to campaign against the slaughter of Christians in Iraq, the killing of 200,00 + in Syria, the 1,000 year war between Shia & Sunni Muslims. Also if they have time they can protest about the Ukraine v Russia war & tell us who we should boycott there.

To the surprise of no-one, today the Palestinians violated the latest ceasefire on the day it was brokered.

Honestly, these people are beyond help.
