A cathedral will be converted into a cinema for a poignant First World War centenary event.
Chichester Cathedral will screen Derek Jarman’s critically acclaimed film inspired by Benjamin Britten’s choral masterpiece War Requiem.
The 1988 film features no spoken dialogue, only the words Britten selected from the poetry of Wilfred Owen and the Latin Mass for the Dead.
The special screening, in conjunction with Chichester Cinema at New Park, will be on Thursday, August 28, at 9pm.
