A woman swerved to avoid a deer in the road and crashed into a road sign.
The 39-year-old suffered whiplash after her car spun on the A26 near to the Blackdown roundabout near Uckfield at 11.15pm yesterday.
Her black Ford Fiesta was travelling northbound when the accident happened.
The Uckfield woman was “medically trapped”, according to the fire service, meaning they couldn’t move her because of her injuries.
She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.
