Fire crews were called to a supermarket after a fire in an underground car park.
An emergency call was made at 0.46am on Friday morning and firefighters were sent to Tesco in Church Wood Drive, St Leonards.
A fire had started in the electrical ducting, causing the car park to fill with smoke.
Firefighters put out the blaze and set about discovering what had caused it.
It was concluded the fire was started accidently by cleaners.
There were no injuries.
