Scores of rock fans queued outside an independent record shop this morning for tickets to see Brighton two-piece Royal Blood.

The band, this week nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize, yesterday announced a home coming gig at Brighton Dome on December 20.

It comes after a busy year for Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher, which has included a number one album.

Tickets were available this morning at 9am from Resident Records, in Kensington Gardens, and the Brighton Dome box office.

Brighton Dome Tweeted shortly after 9.30am that tickets had sold out.

Support will come from the Marmozets.
