A motorcyclist and his pillion passenger have been seriously injured after being thrown from their bikes in a crash.
A 25-year-old rider and his pillion passenger, a 25-year-old woman, both from Andover in Hampshire, were thrown off the blue-and-white Suzuki GSXR after it left the road and crashed in Titnore Lane, Worthing on Sunday afternoon.
The incident at just after 3.50pm yesterday happened near to the junction with the A280 Water Lane.
The woman was airlifted to St George's Hospital in London by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance with serious injuries while the man was taken to Worthing Hospital for injuries including a broken collar bone.
The road was closed for three and a half hours while emergency crews dealt with the incident.
