A teenager from Brighton is believed to have been killed in a US air strike in Syria.

Ibrahim Kamara is believed to be among those killed in air strikes in Syria in the past 48 hours.

The Guardian is reporting that two western fighters in Syria said Kamara, who went under the name of Khalil al-Britani, died after a US air strike on Aleppo.

It is reported that the 19-year-old is a member of Jabhat al-Nusra, an affiliate group of al-Qaida which has fought against both the forces of the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, and Islamic State militants in the country’s civil war.

Pictures have appeared on Facebook last night appearing to show Kamara’s face in an unzipped body bag covered in fine sand.

His own Facebook page says he had recently studied at Vardean college in Brighton for one year to resit his GCSE exams.
