Concerns have been raised about an “independent woman” who has gone missing for more than a week.

Sussex Police has launched an appeal for help in finding Belinda Wilson from Hastings who was last seen leaving her home in Cornwallis Gardens, Hastings, wheeling a black and purple suitcase at midday on Monday September 22.

The 51-year-old is described as white, 5' 7", of medium build with long straight mousey brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue jacket with dark leggings and a white scarf.”

Sergeant Jane Batcheler said: "We are concerned as Belinda has not been seen for a week and this is the first time she has gone missing.

“She is described as an independent woman who keeps to herself."
