POLICE have released two men on bail after a stabbing in a squat. 

The two men suffered “slash-type” wounds during the incident in the former karaoke bar Nine Rooms in Middle Street, Brighton, at about 5pm on Monday. They were taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

Sussex Police said the 26-year-old, who had injuries on his arm, was due to be discharged on Tuesday while the 19-year-old is still recovering from a cut to the face in hospital.

Two men, aged 26 and 42, were arrested and questioned by police but have now been released on bail until December 2 while the investigation continues.
