A BURGLAR stole jewellery from a house while the owners were on holiday.
The thief is believed to have accessed the house, in The Orchard, Etchingham, through rear patio doors which were not secure.
Two pairs of gold earrings, a pair of drop earrings and a pair of studs; a black and silver pearl necklace and a large quantity of costume jewellery. The total value is not known.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft, which occurred some time between September 7 and September 24.
Sussex Police is advising homeowners to make sure their houses are secure when they are on holiday.
Anyone who may be able to help officers investigating the burglary are asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting 1722 of 24/9.
