Having been told by a friend that the Dome was open for the heritage I went along and on arrival I saw two signs: 1.) Queue her for Dome tours and 2.) Queue here for organ recital by John Mann.

My reason for writing is there was a lack of advertising this day, as I found out later there was a leaflet available in the Dome booking office.

As I had done the tour last year I headed for the auditorium to listen to the Dome organ.

The recital lasted 25 minutes and what a programme John Mann had put together.

This also showed what a great organ this is, but we get very little chance to hear it.

I am sure there is a big following of the Dome organ, but a lack of concerts especially after all the money spent refurbishing it.

I know there were further recitals through the day up to approx 4pm.

When will the council and the Dome management think about making use of this wonderful piece of history?
