A gang of thieves demanded a teenager hand over money at knifepoint. 

The 18-year-old was walking in Hallyburton Road, Hove, shortly after 6pm on Sunday (28 September) when he was approached from behind by a group of teenagers who threatened him.

One of the gang said he had a knife and ordered the victim to give them money. The victim did so and the gang walked off towards Margery Road.

The first thief was white, about 17, 5' 4" and skinny with short black hair. He was wearing a black hooded jumper and grey tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a JD Sports bag.

The second thief was white, 5' 8" and skinny with short blonde hair. He was wearing tracksuit bottoms and a hooded top.

The third thief was white, about 17, 5' 8" and skinny. He was wearing a red baseball cap and black clothing.

The fourth thief was white, about 17, skinny and 5' 6" with shoulder length straight blonde hair. She was wearing a grey hooded jumper and black leggings.

PC James Botting said: "The victim was understandably very frightened during the robbery and I am keen to trace anyone who could have seen or heard what happened.

"If you were in the area or you recognise the description of the members of the gang, please contact us."
