FANS of ballroom and Latin American dancing must have thought they were seeing double.

Identical 16-year-old twins James and Charles Rainford twirled and twisted with a selection of older residents at two homes after being invited because of their passion for dancing.

The pair visited two sheltered housing schemes in Brighton – Evelyn Glennie Court and Jacqueline du Pre Court – on Wednesday as part of International Older People’s Day.

Charles, who started dancing when he was seven, said: “I just love dancing.

“Older people have such a great story to tell and have lived through so many things.

The twins live in High Hurstwood, near Uckfield, and attend Uckfield Community Technical College.

They hope to carry on dancing as a double act.

Charles added: “Hopefully once we get older we can do more shows with some mirror imaging and outdoing your shadow.”
