PREPARE to be taken to a secret location, where only those who survive will be brought back.

A live action horror experience “not for the faint of heart” will be coming to Brighton for the Halloween season this month.

Outbreak Brighton is a night-time survival horror challenge in which participants are bussed from the city centre out to an undisclosed location in the rural South Downs.

They will have to try to survive the release of a nerve agent as a team of specialist military researchers try to contain the outbreak.

David Parker, head of operations at Outbreak Brighton, said: “It is an immersive Halloween physical horror survival experience – and only those who survive are brought back.

“It is not a family event with smoke, green lighting and people in masks, it is for over 18s and not for the faint of heart.”

The organisers are not disclosing the full details of the event but promise it will be the “ultimate thrill”.

The creative team promise they are putting together a full “raw and realistic” production, featuring costumes and sets.

Mr Parker said: “Halloween in general is becoming a much bigger thing in the UK. Previously it used to be Guy Fawkes was the big one but now, with the influence of all things America, Halloween is becoming more popular.

“Everyone is looking for the next experience and Brighton seemed like the ideal place to bring this.

“It is the ultimate thrill. People love horror movies and there has been an advent of those more physical event experiences, so why not combine the two and offer something that takes people out of their comfort zone?

“It is for people who are tired of the same old Halloween experiences.”

The event runs on October 24, 25 and 26. For more information, visit outbreakbrighton.com
