A lorry crash has caused major morning commute headaches for hundreds of motorists.

Long tailbacks have been caused after a lorry collided with a Fiat Punto and then into the central reservation on the northbound carriageway of the A24 close to the Findon roundabout at just after 7am this morning.

A police spokesman said that injuries were fortunately only minor but work is still ongoing to remove the vehicles.

One lane reopened just after 8am but motorists are advised to find alternative routes where possible while traffic clears.
