A pair of Sussex writers have published a book of inspirational poems for people going through difficult times.

The book, Your Gift, is being offered free of charge to hospices, surgeries and therapists to pass onto individuals to keep and read for themselves.

Poet Charles Antony, from Rottingdean, said: ‘My work is designed to be uplifting and encouraging, and I hope that all readers will find my words comforting.”

Your Gift is dedicated to the memory of Rose Gavigan, a much-loved friend who is greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Editor Kate Harmond Allan, also from Rottingdean, added: “I am sure many of us have spent time with loved ones during illness. We wanted to help people who might feel lost and hopeless when facing stress or grief. Your Gift could provide some reassurance on those dark days and nights.”
