A care home is helping people with learning disabilities find themselves jobs.

The Regard Partnership care home in Eastbourne Road, Eastbourne, is supporting service users and helping them find jobs in the town, with two women now working at local cafes.

Mary is proving to be a brilliant napkin folder, while Nicola helps keep one of the seafront cafes clean and tidy.

Steve Doherty, service manager at the care home, said: “They are both very happy to have useful jobs and it is great for them to be able to meet different people every week.

“They are treated to coffee and cake by their supervisors when their work is over too, which they both think is great.”

Eastbourne Road is a residential home supporting people aged 18 to 35 with learning disabilities who may also have complex behavioural needs.

There is one vacancy at the home. For further information, call Mr Doherty on 01323 482174.
