IT WAS announced yesterday that disadvantaged pupils will be getting a helping hand thanks to a new “pupil premium”.
With questions about the seemingly ever-widening wealth gap hot on the political agenda, the Liberal Democrat’s move to help students is welcome.
While many may not want to admit it, too often children’s natural ability is hampered as they do not get the same treatment, privileges and attention gained by those from a more well-off background.
This money could help children from less affluent families to prosper and develop towards a successful career.
Hopefully with more money being poured into the scheme in Sussex, every child will be given the opportunity to flourish and reach their full potential.
