A mother was arrested for drink-driving on the school run – only to be stopped on suspicion of the same offence less than 48 hours later.
Sussex Police officers were called to Heron Park Academy in Dallington Road, Eastbourne, at 3pm on Monday following reports of a woman driving while over the limit.
Officers arrived and arrested a 34-year-old woman on suspicion of drink-driving before taking her into custody.
Leanne Blackie, of Percival Road in Eastbourne, was charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis and released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on January 7.
At 2.20pm today, the same 34-year-old woman was stopped while driving in Kingston Road, Eastbourne, - just 400 metres away from Heron Park Academy and less than half a mile from her own home.
She is currently in police custody being questioned on suspicion of drink-driving.
