NEGOTIATIONS remain deadlocked between a bus company and a union last night in an attempt to stave off strike action.
Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company met with the Unite the Union at the company’s Conway Street offices in Hove earlier today to reach an agreement.
Drivers of Brighton and Hove Buses who are part of Unite the Union were balloted on Tuesday, November 4, over strike action that could see services across Sussex grind to a halt this Saturday and next Wednesday, November 19.
Martin Harris, managing director of Brighton and Hove Buses, told The Argus within the past hour: “We are exploring a number of options. I remain hopeful.”
The meeting reconvenes at 9am tomorrow.
