Communities are teaming up with an energy company to shave money off their bills and take the power back.
Grassroots energy partnerships are teaming up with energy firm Ovo to help lower prices by localising energy production and buying power wholesale.
With everyone feeling the pinch in a market dominated by the notorious big six energy providers Ovo and Community Energy South are hoping to offer an alternative.
With a new deal and tariff promising to shave £200 off electric and gas bills, hopefully Ovo will prove affordable energy is within Sussex residents’ reach.
However, with big promises Ovo are going to have to deliver when the new Sussex Energy Tariff is rolled out in spring next year.
