Culture Club have cancelled their much-anticipated reunion tour after lead singer Boy George was diagnosed with a serious throat condition.
The Culture Club tour was due to come to the Brighton Centre on December 11 until the announcement today that the 53-year-old frontman is to undergo medical treatment on his throat.
The original line-up of the band were due to perform together for the first time in 20 years and record a new album until this set-back.
Fans with tickets for the Brighton centre gig are advised they can claim their refunds at the point of sale.
In a statement, Boy George said: ‘I’m devastated but I want to be able to perform to the best of my ability and the specialist has told me that right now that will be impossible.
“I will focus on getting better and see all my fans soon.”
