THOUSANDS turned out for a ten-kilometre run.
The Brooks Brighton 10K took place yesterday along the seafront.
The course, which stuck to the road this year due to work on the i360, was tackled by more than 3,150 runners and hundreds of people watched the spectacle.
Runners started from Madeira Drive before heading east towards Brighton Marina for one-and-a-half kilometres.
Once there, an about-turn sent them back past the start, the Palace Pier, the remains of the West pier and on by the Peace Statue, a length of about five kilometres.
The runners turned around at the King Alfred Leisure Centre for a sprint back to the finish on Madeira Drive.
Chris Carter, director of the Brooks Brighton 10K, said: “The weather was perfect for the runners, with little wind.
“We are looking forward to next year’s event.”
