A GROUP of people were stuck in a lift in a church for more than an hour this morning.
Firefighters were called to free the five people at 1.15am from the Brighthelm church and community centre, in North Road, Brighton.
Despite their best efforts were unable to rescue them and called a lift engineer who arrived at 2am but it is not yet clear how long the people were there.
