Firefighters called to reports of children's roundabout on fire in play park
A ROUNDABOUT in a children’s play area was thought to be on fire last night.
Firefighters were called to the reports in Easthill Park, Portslade, at 8.45pm.
Although on arrival, they discovered the small fire was in fact a pile of rubbish near the play park and no equipment was damaged. It was extinguished shortly after 9pm but the cause is thought to be deliberate.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the incident had been reported to the police.
