I write regarding your recent article about Angela Reeves and her seriously ill partner having their car vandalised (The Argus, January 30).

Firstly, I am very glad this has been brought to the attention of The Argus as I have every sympathy with my neighbour's situation.

I would, however, like to put on record that it was not only their vehicle which had been vandalised on that evening but the majority of those in the road. Almost every car parked in Crabtree Avenue had its wing mirror kicked off.

These senseless acts have caused a large number of people a great deal of expense, as it was probably not worth claiming on their insurance for the damage, as well as the inconvenience of having to sort out repairs.

There are some selfish people around and the problem of vandalism in the area needs to be addressed seriously.
