A street has been left with litter strewn across it after refuse collectors failed to collect the rubbish left out.
Sarah Sommerford, a 30-year-old senior care worker, contacted The Argus to complain that her street in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, had been ignored by the council's binmen on their round.
The Goodwood Way resident said: "It doesn't make the street look very nice. Moulsecoomb is not as bad as it used to be but this does not give a very good impression.
I'm embarrassed by it."
Mrs Sommerford rang Brighton and Hove City Council, which told her it was because a removal van used by her husband and parked on the street was causing an obstruction.
She told the council it had always been parked there and had never been a problem before.
The council was unavailable for comment.
