A TWO-year project has been launched to create a graphic novel about the First World War.

The Brighton-based fictional piece will be written and designed by young people aged between 15 and 24.

The project was launched this week by Brighton and Hove community-run book publisher QueenSpark Books after it received funding from Arts Council England.

The publisher will be recruiting young writers and artists from March.

No previous experience is necessary but people must commit to working as part of a team for one year.

Brighton’s Graphic War, a full-colour novel, is due to be published in autumn 2016.
