A CHEF is swapping choux buns for running shoes to raise funds for charity.
Mark Pattison, head chef of the Seattle Hotel in Brighton Marina, has registered for the Brighton Half Marathon on February 22.
His efforts will help raise money for the Martlets Hospice, an end-of-life care service, the hotel staff’s chosen charity of this year.
When not on the running track, he is busy cooking up food at the hotel he has worked at for the past six months.
No stranger to the kitchen, he held similar positions at the Grand Hotel and The Old Ship Hotel in Brighton.
Mr Pattison has run a number of marathons in his life but none recently.
He said: “I look forward to supporting the hospice, and continuing to create unique moments in the kitchen.”
