BRIGHTON and Hove High School’s dancers were in full flow as they staged their fifth annual dance show.

The show performed at The Old Market in Brighton on Thursday and Friday was as popular as ever and two matinee shows were added to the schedule because of the demand for tickets.

More than 200 girls from years four to 13 performed types of dance from contemporary to hip hop and sixth formers got the opportunity to choreograph alongside the dance department to create a mixture of pieces.

The shows come off the back of dance success for the school last year when they won their heat at the Global Rock Challenge competition, winning 12 awards of excellence from best choreography to best performance skills.

Last summer, the school’s sixth form students finished in the top five for the UK’s Best Dance Troupe competition, after winning the regional heats. To buy any of these pictures, call (01273) 544371 or visit theargus.co.uk/photosales.
