An MP has taken his campaign for swifter action against unauthorised traveller camps to the Houses of Parliament.
Brighton Kemptown MP Simon Kirby presented the petition signed by “several thousand” residents online and on paper to Westminster on Monday.
The MP launched the appeal after he became frustrated by the current approach from Brighton and Hove City Council.
He added that the annual and costly “game of cat and mouse” was not sustainable or fair on local residents.
The Conservative added that he hoped the petition would raise the profile of the issue in Brighton and Hove.
