THE NEW entrepreneur in residence at City College Brighton and Hove has been announced as Jeremy Jacobs.
Mr Jacobs has worked for global digital marketing agencies with clients including Waitrose, Lloyds TSB, Barclays and BMW.
His role will be to support students and staff in developing entrepreneurship with surgeries also for advice and guidance.
In 2009, he co-founded Indulgence Cupcake Company which worked with Virgin Atlantic, and later rebranded to Raise Bakery.
He now advises on digital marketing strategy including search engine optimisation, paid search advertising, social media, online, PR, website design and development, e-commerce and affiliate marketing.
He said: “I’m fortunate enough to have made a success of my own business and I am very excited about sharing my experience with others.
“I’m a responsible business owner and as part of that I want to give back to the community that has supported my business growth.
“Working with City College is a great way for me to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and also to share invaluable business experience. Being a born and bred Brightonian, I can’t think of a better place to do it.”
