A mother who was told she could not fly to America to see her daughter because of a typing mistake on her travel documents has been given a refund.
The Argus reported how Linda Boyask and her husband Martin, who had booked a return flight to Miami on the internet, would not be able to fly because of the typo.
Mrs Boyask, 63, had been booked as Mrs Martin Boyask and British Airways said she would not be allowed to board the plane.
Web travel agency ebookers, which took the booking, refused to refund the fare or Nectar points used as part payment. However, the agency has now changed its mind and offered the Boyasks all their money and points back.
Dr Boyask, 62, and his wife, who live in New Church Road, Hove, have been able to book a new flight.
