Reading your article on the closure of our children’s centres, doesn’t the council realise our children need these places.
The centres help them mix with and learn from each other.
I am shocked they might close library groups where the children learn to read and enjoy books and are places to be quiet and relax.
I used to take my children in the sixties to ‘their’ library.
They took pleasure in the fact it was ‘theirs’ and it taught them to enjoy books.
Our children are our future and we should help them mix and enjoy learning.
What are they to do? Run riot in the streets, getting into trouble, and lots of them won’t be able to read, so won’t be able to work.
A lot of problems will arise from this. Let us stop and think of our children’s future.
