A TOWNÂ councillor has admitted wounding his wife, but denies trying to kill her.
Joseph O'Riordan, 73, of Guardian Court, Polegate, pleaded guilty this morning to wounding with intent but denied attempted murder.
The Polegate town councillor was arrested on October 22 last year after his wife, Amanda O'Riordan, 47, was found with stab wounds at their home in Guardian Court, Polegate.
This morning at Hove Crown Court he was remanded in custody ahead of his attempted murder trial on April 13.
