Firefighters cut a patient from a car after a two vehicle collision.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called at 11.40 on February 6 to reports of an RTC on Brighton and Hove seafront. 

Two vehicles were involved in the collision on the King's Road and were the patients were left in the care of the ambulance service.

Fire fighters used hydraulic cutting gear to cut the roof off the Citroën to rescue the trapped person.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "A driver was taken to hospital for precautionary checks after a collision between two cars in Hove on Friday morning.

"The cars collided just west of the West Pier at 11.34am. The fire service cut one driver free, but his injuries are not thought to be serious at this time. He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.

"The road was closed for a short while, but was fully re-opened by 1.25pm."
