Cricket fans are invited to cheer up the Sussex Sharks mascot Sid the Shark in a special competition to mark Valentine’s Day.
The club asks fans to send in ideas for a perfect date with the love-sick shark.
The best idea received by 5pm on Valentine’s Day will win a romantic two seats to the first NatWest T20 Blast fixture on May 17.
Sussex County Cricket Club’s chief executive Zac Toumazi said: “Sid is not a fan of January and February. It’s cold, he wants the cricket season to start and gets reminded on Valentine’s Day that he doesn’t have anyone to share it with.”
The prize includes meeting players for photos and autographs, a picture with Sid and a T-shirt.
Tweet in your ideas to @OfficialSCCCSid with the hashtag #sharklove to enter.
