A WINNING lottery ticket worth almost £125,000 is still up for grabs in Sussex.

The ticket for draw on January 24 was bought in the Eastbourne area and matched five numbers and the bonus ball.

National Lottery players are being urged to check and double-check their tickets for the chance to claim the prize.

The winning Lotto numbers for that day were 4, 8, 19, 35, 44, 49 and the bonus ball was 17.

The lucky ticket-holder has until July 23 to get in contact with National Lottery operators Camelot.

If no-one comes forward then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “We're eager to find the mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings - this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody's life.

“We're urging everyone who bought a Lotto ticket in this area to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“To help jog Lotto players' memories about what was happening on or around the time of the draw in question local football club, Eastbourne Borough, were in action against Wealdstone and the two sides played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

Away from sport, people may have taken a trip to see the Dirty Dancing at the Congress theatre that weekend.

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
