A mum who kept all her children’s clothes is setting up a pop-up shop.

Dawn Ellman-Baker, who was Miss Brighton in 1986, has accumulated thousands of accessories and items of clothing from her two daughters.

The mum from Lancing will open the shop called Just for Girls, in Brunswick Road, Shoreham, today.

She said: “I thought it would be a brilliant idea to keep them for when my girls have children, but one day my husband said: ‘What if they have boys?’ I thought perhaps I should sell them.”

Along with regular clothing items she has princess dresses, toys, shoes, swimwear, accessories and even designer labels.

She has also bought bags to sell to support the charity Tommy’s, which funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.

Her oldest daughter, Chloe, was born early and spent time in the Special Care Baby Unit at Worthing Hospital.

She said: “I’m so grateful to the unit. The staff were so devoted, they didn’t just care for Chloe but they looked after me too.”

Speaking about the items, she added: “If it glitters, then I love it.

“Thank goodness I had two girls.”
