Paramedics are assesing the man at the scene
A MAN has been taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car.
The pedestrian, in his twenties, has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital as a priority.
Emergency services were called to the A259 in Newhaven, near the railway flyover, shortly after 2.30pm.
The road re-opened at 3.40pm.
No-one has been arrested.
