POLICE want to trace three people over shoplifting incidents in a town centre.

The first photo is of a man suspected of thefts of magazines from WH Smith in Horsham on four occasions in July, November and December last year, and February this year.

He is described as white and elderly, wearing a black coat with a white motif on the back shoulder area.

The second photo shows a woman suspected of stealing several DVDs from BHS in Swan Walk, Horsham, on May 8 last year.

She is described as white, slim, about 5ft 7in, with bright red hair.

The third photo is of a white man in his late teens, with ginger hair, who is suspected of stealing various items from the Co-op in North Parade, Horsham, on four occasions, two in February last year and two in April last year.

PC James Munden said: “We would like to speak to anyone who knows who the people in the photos are or where they could be.

“If you have information about any of the thefts please contact us.”

Anyone with information should email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 295 of 20/2, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

PC Munden added: “These enquiries are part of Operation Retail, an ongoing initiative aimed at reducing and detecting shoplifting in Horsham District.

“We currently have a new radio scheme in place in Horsham town centre and we would welcome new shop members. It allows members to communicate with each other and the police.

“We are also setting up a new website in place which has been put together with the local Community Safety Partnership and which will be live from March 2015. This will allow members of the Shopwatch schemes to see photos of known offenders. If anybody would like any further information on how to join please contact us at the Horsham Neighbourhood Policing Team by emailing horsham.shopwatch@sussex.pnn.police.uk.”
